LASER THERAPY

ERCHONIA LOW LEVEL LASER THERAPY

image

The potential applications of Low level laser therapy are almost limitless.  Low level laser therapy is a non-invasive, fast and effective modality that has been proven in clinical trials to reduce pain, reduce edema, and promote healing.

Cold laser therapy is FDA approved for treating soft tissue conditions.  Laser therapy speeds up the healing of many soft tissue conditions by decreasing inflammation and decreasing the formation of scar tissue.  Laser therapy is now widely accepted as a viable treatment for a variety of diagnoses.

A good example of how low level laser therapy speeds up the normalization process can be demonstrated with sudden onset soft tissue trauma.  After the trauma, swelling naturally occurs to protect the area.  However, this swelling can decrease fluid exchange preventing the normal delivery of nutrition to the damaged area.  Low level laser therapy first targets the lymphatic system, because it maintains the fluid balance in the body; and the infrared laser light also improves reabsorption of the swelling.  With low level laser therapy, swelling is reduced, allowing movement to return to the treated area.
